Anne thirteen-year-old orphan, who was raised in a secluded environment for most of her life, is taken through a mistake to the aging Cuthbert siblings in Prince Edward Island. When the show ends it is 1919 and they are content; Gilbert is 55 and still sincerely loving Anne in Green Gables.
